I Predict Some Heated Pillow Talk

The Husband has a new infatuation. He sent me an email last night while he was watching Sarah Palin's speech at the RNC that read:

"Forget McCain for president. This Palin is good!"

There will be some interesting conversations in the Frazzled household over this. I watched her speech today, and while her personal story is quite interesting, and she can deliver a speech (written by others) nicely, I think it's funny that people are calling her a pit bull.

A chihuahua nipping at Obama's heels seems more apt.

She has a nasally, naggy voice...kind of like Hilary, but without the benefit of more liberal views. Ick.

But she finally proved that the GOP is capable of CHANGE. She CHANGED her hairstyle.

I crack me up.

Okay, say what you will. But don't make comments about her PREPARED speeches (what idiot wouldn't prepare a speech???) when Obama is the KING of the prepared speech and loses IQ points anytime he's off the teleprompter.

And her tone of voice?

Is this what politics is now? Let's talk about hair and makeup next! Oh goody!

We've already covered her hairstyle... As Webgal mentioned, she finally changed it.

Obama's extemporaneous discussions and round table forums are actually quite intelligent, so I'm not sure why you think his IQ drops when he's off the teleprompter.

And yes, every politician prepares a speech, that wasn't my point. My point was that my husband is in love with "her" ideas - the ones that came from the heads of those people who prepared the speech for her.

And he (like each of us) is entitled to his own opinion.

It's too bad that his opinion is wrong.

Hi Monnik,

I found your blog today. I've been clicking around so much that I don't remember where I found you.

I love what you have to say about Sarah Palin. We haven't even "known" her for 9 days and it's so strange to see people so in awe of her. At least most people had heard of Biden before. I wonder if part of the reason why McCain announced her as a pick so late (didn't they used to pick their person in June or July? Obama didn't really know he'd be the candidate until then so I can cut him some slack) is so we can't get to know more about her before the election. Personally, it won't make a difference to me because I don't agree with her on any topic that's important to me, but I'm seeing online that some people aren't looking beyond the fact that she's a woman. Yikes. Voting for her just because she's a woman is worse than NOT voting for her because she's a woman.

I guess I'm lucky. My husband called her a dipshit.

I just can't get on board with all the "isn't she a good Mom" mentality.

Glad my DH & I are on the same page about politics (Obama all the way). Could get a bit messy otherwise!
